The Nations Health – The Necessary Revolution to save the Nations Health and Health Provision

The Nations Health – The Necessary Revolution to save the Nations Health and Health ProvisionHealth means whole, good health requires a whole view, it involves choices about all aspects of living including something as simple as the quality and quantity of food and drink we use.

At the inception of the National Health Service in Britain, no provision was made for costs to rise. The belief was that easier access to healthcare would ensure a healthier population. This has not happened, indeed the reverse has occurred, Why? This book details the two paramount causes for the increasing ill health of the nation and the never ending crisis in paying for healthcare.

First the welfare principle which is a direct consequence of John Maynard Keyne’s book The General Theory which showed how to cure the old trade cycle but also initiated the welfare principle, namely the State will provide everything which has lead to the death of self reliance and responsibility.

Second the medical treatment now widely offered does not produce good health but rather the reverse. The book offers proof of this and presents an alternative model of medical education and practice.

Chapters include:

  • Origins of the Welfare State and N H S.
  • Regulation and Safety of medical drugs. A record of drugs withdrawn
  • The Causes of Disease, social, cultural, personal choice.
  • The Role of Medicine, Cure and Prevention.
  • Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
  • Eating Your Way to Health – An analysis of food provision and its regulation, guidance on diet and cooking based on natural laws. Obesity, Causes and Cures.

Conclusion

It is unfair and unrealistic to put the whole burden of cure on the medical profession. Cure must be directed towards the causes of ill health. The State must re-align its policies and regulation to ensure individual responsibility for health and for the costs of treatment of illness brought on by self abuse, unhealthy diet and life style. Individuals must be made responsible for their own well being and state of health. Medical education and training must be widened to include alternatives and individualisation of treatment.
